*unless you are the U.S. military, in which case it's all good.
An interesting article on WIRED today about the military use of speed, for pilots. That's speed as in amphetamines. Did the Chiefs of staff never watch "Family Ties"? Did they not watch as Alex P. Keaton went from peppy to phsychotic in the span of a single "very special" episode?
It reminds me of something a good friend, who spent 8 years in the Navy, as a Nuclear Engineer often mentioned while he was enlisted. "I am government property." Kinda scary if you ask me. Our servicemen and women under non-wartime conditions are put under a tremendous amount of stress. Couple that with an impending conflagration, and mix in some amphetamines.......
